Transducer Fairings - LOWRANCE & SIMRAD - (AI-HD 3in1)

Standard transducer mounts create a square trailing edge that disrupts water flow — producing turbulent, aerated water that causes propeller cavitation, handling issues, fuel economy losses, and in some cases engine overheating. The PROTEK High-Speed Fairing Block eliminates the problem at the source.

Custom-engineered and manufactured for Lowrance and Simrad 3-in-1 scanning transducers, the fairing delivers three major benefits to boat builders, installers and owners:

1. Cavitation elimination. The shaped trailing edge keeps water flowing cleanly past the transducer — no turbulence, no aerated water, no cavitation downstream. Say goodbye to handling issues, fuel economy concerns and potential engine overheating.

2. Simplified through-hull installation. The fairing fits seamlessly between the hull and the transducer mounting plate, providing a secure and efficient setup without compromising performance.

3. Convert transom-mounted to through-hull. Transom-mounted scanning transducers commonly suffer from outboard "shadowing," interference from water pickups, and excessive spray. Mounting through the hull delivers the best possible scanning sonar performance — and dramatically improved sounding at speed.

Currently available models

  • Model 1 — Designed to seamlessly integrate with the ActiveImaging HD AI 3-in-1 transom-style transducer (cable exiting the top of the transducer, not the front or rear).

Additional models are in development — contact us if you need a fairing for a specific transducer not listed here.

Disclaimer: Barji Marine takes no responsibility for the installation of transducers in a fashion not originally intended by the manufacturer.

Why ProTek?

Engineered to eliminate cavitation. Shaped trailing edge keeps water flowing cleanly past the transducer — no turbulence, no handling loss, no fuel economy hit.

The right way to mount a scanning transducer. Through-hull installation eliminates outboard shadowing, water pickup interference and spray issues common to transom mounts.

Custom mounting to suit any hull. Tailored to your deadrise, keel shape, or specific install requirement — not a one-size-fits-all part.

Built to take a hit. 3D printed in impact-resistant, engineering-grade material — designed for the underside of a boat at spee

Custom mounting to suit your hull

Every boat is different. We offer custom mounting options to suit specific install requirements — whether you need the fairing integrated into the deadrise of the hull, shaped to suit a rounded keel, or built deeper to clear a specific install constraint.

Each fairing is 3D printed in-house using state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality, impact-resistant engineering-grade materials. Built to last in an unforgiving environment.

Important: deadrise constraint

Fairings mounted to port or starboard deadrise must not exceed 5° from the bottom of the transducer face to the lowest section of hull or keel. Exceeding this can compromise transducer performance and the integrity of the install.

If your hull requires a deeper fairing to overcome this constraint, get in touch — we'll build one to suit.
