Rod holder drains
One of the main causes of electrical issues in marine applications is saltwater ingress — and the most overlooked source of it is rod holders. Water runs straight down the tube, into the boat, and onto the wiring and connections you can't afford to lose.
PROTEK rod holder drains solve it. A simple, low-profile fix that directs water away from your electrical components and into the bilge where it belongs.
Installation takes less than five minutes. Apply a bead of silicone to the inside of the drain, push it up and over the bottom of the rod holder, then twist the drain so the outlet tail points in the direction you want the water to go. Connect a length of 13mm ID hose to the outlet (garden hose fits perfectly, as does the clear plastic tubing from Bunnings), and you're done.
Less than five minutes of work to save you thousands of dollars in repairs and headaches down the track.
Two models are available to suit the more common rod holder tube sizes — 51mm and 44mm — both with the same 13mm ID outlet tail.
